INEED2 Privacy Policy

Your trust is the product. This policy explains what INEED2 collects, why, who we share it with, and the control you have, in plain language, for both people booking tasks and the taskers who complete them.

Who we are and what this policy covers

INEED2, Inc. ("INEED2," "we," "us") operates a two-sided home-services marketplace in Chicago, Illinois that connects people who post tasks ("Posters") with independent service providers ("Taskers"). This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and share it, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. It applies to our website, mobile apps, and related services. By creating an account or using the services you also agree to our Terms of Service. Cookies and similar technologies are covered separately in our Cookie Policy.

Information we collect

Account and profile. Name, email address, phone number, password, profile photo, and — for Taskers — the services you offer, your rates, service area, and bio.

Tasker verification. Taskers complete identity verification and a background check before accepting jobs. Our identity-verification provider collects an image of your government ID and a selfie/liveness check; biometric handling is described in "Biometric information (Illinois)" below. Background checks are described in "Background checks (Taskers)" below. INEED2 stores verification status and reference identifiers; the raw ID images and biometric data are processed and held by our verification provider on our behalf.

Tasks and bookings. Task descriptions, addresses, in-app messages, ratings, reviews, and booking history.

Payments. Payment-card and payout details are processed by PCI-compliant payment partners. We store only limited transaction records — never full card numbers.

Location. Approximate location, and (with your permission) precise location, to match you with nearby tasks and Taskers and to enable in-app arrival tracking. You can change location permissions in your device settings at any time.

Device and usage. Device model, OS version, app version, IP address, crash logs, and how you interact with features.

Support communications. Messages with our support team, including attachments you send.

How we use your information

We use personal information to: create accounts and match Posters with Taskers; process bookings, payments, and payouts and prevent fraud; verify Tasker identity and run background and safety checks; power messaging, arrival tracking, ratings, and support; send service messages (booking confirmations, safety notices, policy updates); send marketing communications you can opt out of at any time; secure, debug, and improve the services; and comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

We never sell your personal data.

Biometric information (Illinois)

When you onboard as a Tasker, our identity-verification provider creates a scan of your facial geometry from your selfie/liveness check to confirm it matches your government ID. This is a "biometric identifier" under the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (740 ILCS 14). We handle it as follows:

  • Consent first. We collect it only after you receive a separate written notice and give written consent (electronic signature) on a standalone screen — before any capture.
  • Single purpose. It is used only to verify your identity and prevent fraud during onboarding and any re-verification. Never for advertising, and never to train AI models.
  • No sale. We never sell, lease, trade, or otherwise profit from biometric data.
  • Retention and destruction. Your facial-geometry scan is permanently destroyed within 30 days of completing verification, and in no event later than 3 years after your last interaction with INEED2, whichever occurs first. Our full schedule is published in our Biometric Information Policy.
  • Who processes it. Our identity-verification provider processes biometric data on our behalf under a contract that requires the same retention schedule and certified deletion.

Questions or deletion requests: use the contact details at the end of this policy.

Background checks (Taskers)

Taskers must pass a background check before accepting jobs. We obtain a "consumer report" from a consumer reporting agency, governed by the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA):

  • You receive a standalone disclosure and give written authorization before any check runs, including for any periodic re-checks or ongoing monitoring you authorize.
  • If a report may lead to a denial or deactivation, you receive a pre-adverse-action notice with a copy of the report and a summary of your FCRA rights, a reasonable time to respond or dispute, and a final notice before any decision is final. We consider individual circumstances — the nature of any record, how long ago it occurred, and its relevance to the work — rather than applying blanket rules.
  • You may dispute the contents of your report directly with the consumer reporting agency at any time; the agency's contact details are provided in every notice.

Background-check results are retained only as long as needed for eligibility decisions and legal compliance, then securely disposed of.

How we share information

Between users on a booking. Posters and Taskers see the information needed to complete a task — such as first name, photo, approximate location, messages, and (once booked) the task address.

Service providers. Payment processors, identity-verification and background-check providers, cloud hosting, mapping, analytics, and customer-support tools — each bound by contract to protect your data and use it only to provide services to us.

Legal and safety. When required by law or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users, the public, or INEED2.

Business transfers. In a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to you.

We never sell your personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own advertising.

Tracking and analytics

We use first-party and limited third-party analytics to understand service performance. On Apple devices, we request permission through App Tracking Transparency before any tracking across other companies' apps or websites; you can decline and change this in device settings at any time. Cookie-based tracking on the website is governed by the Cookie Policy and its banner controls.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may: access your personal data and request a copy; correct inaccurate or incomplete data; delete your data (see "Deleting your account"); object to or restrict certain processing and withdraw consent; and port your data to another service where technically feasible. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

You can exercise most rights directly in the app under Settings → Privacy, or by contacting us. We verify your identity before acting on a request and respond to privacy requests within 30 days.

Security

We protect personal information with encryption in transit and at rest, strict access controls, and continuous monitoring. Access to background-check results is limited and logged. Payments are handled by PCI-DSS-compliant partners. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you and regulators as required by law, including the Illinois Personal Information Protection Act.

Children

INEED2 is for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to use the services. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18; if we learn we have, we will delete it promptly.

Governing law

The services are operated from the United States. This policy and your use of INEED2 are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. As we expand beyond Chicago, we will update this policy to reflect additional regional requirements.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above always reflects the current version. For material changes we will notify you in the app or by email before the changes take effect; continued use after changes take effect means you accept the revised policy. Prior versions are available on request.
