Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of INEED2 — the marketplace that connects people who need tasks done with the taskers who complete them. Please read them before booking or working.

Acceptance of terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and INEED2, Inc. (“INEED2”, “we”, “us”) governing your access to and use of our mobile apps, website and services (the “Services”). By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use INEED2. By using the Services you represent that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide is accurate and kept up to date. INEED2 currently operates in Chicago, Illinois, USA.

The INEED2 marketplace

INEED2 is a two-sided marketplace. People who post tasks (“Posters”) can book a tasker or list a job; people who complete tasks (“Taskers”) can browse, accept and complete work.

INEED2 provides the platform that connects Posters and Taskers. We are not a party to the agreement between a Poster and a Tasker, and we do not perform tasks ourselves. Taskers are independent contractors, not employees or agents of INEED2.

Your account

You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms or that create risk for the community.

Bookings & payments

  • Prices for a task are agreed up front between the Poster and Tasker through the app.
  • Payments are processed by our third-party payment partners; by transacting you agree to their terms.
  • INEED2 may charge service or booking fees, which are shown before you confirm.
  • Taskers receive payouts after a task is marked complete, minus applicable fees.
  • You authorize us to charge your selected payment method for amounts you approve.

Cancellations & refunds

Posters and Taskers may cancel a booking subject to the cancellation policy shown at booking time. Cancellation fees may apply to protect the other party’s time. If a task is not completed as agreed, contact us and we will review the booking under our happiness guarantee.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Services for anything illegal, fraudulent, harmful or discriminatory.
  • Circumvent INEED2 to arrange or pay for tasks off-platform.
  • Harass, threaten or endanger other users, or misrepresent your identity or skills.
  • Post false, infringing or harmful content, or interfere with the security or operation of the Services.

We may remove content and suspend accounts that breach these rules.

Taskers as independent contractors

Taskers decide whether, when and how to perform tasks and use their own judgment, tools and methods. Nothing in these Terms creates an employment, partnership or agency relationship between INEED2 and any Tasker. Taskers are responsible for their own taxes and for complying with applicable laws and licensing requirements.

Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The Services are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, INEED2 is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for the acts or omissions of Posters or Taskers. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services is limited to the fees you paid to INEED2 in the three months before the claim.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold INEED2 harmless from claims, damages and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Services, your tasks, or your breach of these Terms or of applicable law.

Disputes & governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Cook County, Illinois, unless applicable law requires otherwise. As we expand beyond Chicago, we will update these Terms to reflect additional regional requirements.

Termination

You may stop using the Services at any time and delete your account from Settings → Account → Delete account. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or to protect the community. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as payment, liability and dispute terms) will remain in effect.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes we will notify you in the app or by email and update the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
